When we say we take holiday hosting seriously, we mean it! And what is an amazing holiday party without the perfect cocktail to kick things off? Here is Dina's favorite starter cocktail – The Duchess. Joyeuses fêtes!

The Duchess

Servings: 1

Ingredients:

1 ounce each of three different aged rums*

1 part vermouth or antiqua

4 shakes of orange bitters

Squeeze of fresh lemon or orange juice (or zest)

Italian cherries

Instructions:

1. Combine the rum, vermouth, and orange bitters and fresh lemon juice a cocktail shaker with ice.
2. Shake until chilled.
3. Strain into a lowball glass (with or without ice).

5. Top with Italian cherries.
6. Enjoy!

*We used Mount Gay Eclipse Barbados Rum, Plantation Grande Reserve Rum - 5 Year, and Smith & Cross Traditional Jamaican Rum.
